2025-2026 Reed School Calendar

For planning purposes, please refer to next year's calendar so that any travels fall during school holidays:

2026-2027 Reed School Calendar

Dear Reed Families,

It is hard to believe it but we are in the final nine weeks of the 2025-2026 school year! These next few months are PACKED with learning, special community events and school activities. I know our Raccoons are up for the challenge of squeezing it all in.

On Friday, March 27 the entire school enjoyed our annual Read Across Reed event. Throughout the morning, several important members from our school and broader community read to students in every classroom. Guest readers included members of the Tiburon Police & Fire Departments, postal carriers from the Belvedere-Tiburon Post Office, members of our RUSD Board, and our very own Crossing Guard!

On Monday, March 30 we welcomed some very special guests onto the Reed campus. Members of the Bionic Project, a team of educators including elite adaptive athletes and inclusive “allies,” presented about physical disabilities at our assembly and then led classroom workshops and sports clinics with our 2nd graders.

Enjoy some photos of these fantastic events below.

Warmly,

Aubrey O’Connor & Staff

Wacky Wednesday

Save the Date: May 15 is RUSD Spring Art Night!

What better way to celebrate International Day of Families than to bring the whole family to downtown Tiburon for live music, art, food, and a movie? This is the district's largest ever public art show!

The Spring Art Show, previously scheduled for April 1, has a new date of May 15th at Ground Goods , so mark your calendars. This will showcase the incredible creativity of our students and feature performances by the Bel Aire chorus and Del Mar rock band. Please consider volunteering - your help will make a big difference in creating a beautiful display for our community to enjoy. Volunteer spots are available here . See the flyer below for all the fun activities. Questions about the event may be directed to Abby O'Leary (aoleary@reedschools.org)

Next Year

Not Returning to Reed next year? If your PreK, Kindergartener or 1st grader will not be returning to Reed School next year, please let the office know as soon as possible (reed@reedschools.org). This information is crucial in helping us plan for classroom configurations and appropriate levels of staffing. Thank you so much!

Annual Book Donation Drive

It's time for our annual book donation drive to benefit The Book Exchange of Marin ! The Book Exchange connects kids and teens from Marin's most under-resourced communities to books - a terrific community-service organization that needs our support. Our goal is to donate 5000 books this year, which is an average of 13 books per student. It's a big goal, but not too far from what we have delivered in the past!

The Need for Children and Teens : Fiction, story books, chapter books, learning/easy readers, dictionaries, encyclopedias, textbooks and test prep books for teens. Please, no adult books or cookbooks.

The Ask: Drop books in the bins placed in front of the main entry to school and front office during the week of April 20-24. Please drop off your books in paper bags if possible to allow for the easiest transportation for our drivers.

If you would like more information, please visit https://www.bookexchangemarin.org/ or email Krupa Antani (krupapantani@gmail.com), Julia Gellert (julia.a.gellert@gmail.com) or Dana McRay (danacriley@gmail.com)
