Dear Reed Families and Caregivers,

With summer holiday only days away, may I extend my most sincere and heartfelt thank you to every member of our Reed School community for your individual and collective efforts toward making this year such a success . As I step away from my position as Reed principal into the unchartered waters of retirement, I carry with me 21 years of amazing memories of Reed School! I wish everyone a safe, fun, and restorative summer holiday. While I won’t be here in the fall, I know our entire team along with Reed School’s new principal, Mrs. Aubrey O’Connor, is looking forward to welcoming our new and returning Reed Raccoons in the fall. We wish our rising 3rd graders much success and happiness at Bel Aire or wherever next year may find you!

Warmly,
Mary Niesyn & Staff

Field Day Fun

What fun we had today! A big shoutout to Mr. Kaiser and the many parent and community volunteers for making Field Day such a success. It was an activity-filled morning of games. Students rotated through 18 different stations including Sponge Bucket Relay, Scooter Board Soccer, Foot Stompers, Corn Hole, and more. Be sure to ask your child about this memorable day!

2nd Grade Farewell

At the close of Field Day, our entire Reed School Community gathered to share a fond farewell to our AMAZING 2nd grade students. We could not be more proud of our 2nd graders and we know they will thrive in 3rd grade.

PreK Music Performance

It was so wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, and caregivers at the PreK Music Performance; what a special morning it was! Thank you to Ms. Balfe, our Foundation (FRS) supported music teacher, along with the entire PreK team for creating such a special experience for students and families.

END OF YEAR MEDICATION REMINDERS from our School District Nurse

If your student has medication stored in the school office, please remember to pick up all medication by your student’s last day of attendance, and no later than 12:00pm on the last day of school, Friday, June 13th.  Please note that our school sites cannot be responsible for medication left over the summer, and for safety reasons medication may not be sent home with your child.

Reminder for the 2025-26 School Year:
If your student will require medication next school year, we are required to have a new Authorization to Administer Medication form on file in the office each school year. You should contact your medical provider over the summer to request their assistance completing the authorization form for all of your child’s medication. The form must be signed and stamped by your doctor and one parent. Be sure to follow our Medication at School Policy before bringing medication to the office by the first day of school, Thursday August 21, 2025.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful summer!

-- Nurse Mankin
