UPCOMING EVENTS: SCHOOL CALENDARS

Dear RUSD,

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all parents/guardians who are shuffling schedules and taking the time to attend parent-teacher conferences. Your active participation in your child's education is invaluable. By sharing insights and collaborating with us, we can create a stronger partnership that directly benefits your child's academic and social-emotional growth. We look forward to continuing this important collaboration throughout the school year. Thank you!

  • YouthTruth Survey is Open - Please follow this link to complete the survey. Please complete one survey per child. Thank you!
  • Public Service Announcement on The Hidden Danger of Marijuana Edibles - Recently, there was an incident involving a student who ingested a tin of marijuana gummies found on the ground. Fortunately, after time in the hospital, the student recovered. However, this unfortunate event highlights the dangers of marijuana for children. Appealing packaging can easily lure youngsters. Should you have these in your home, please keep marijuana edibles out of reach and sight and store them securely. Everyone, please educate your children, and talk openly in an age-appropriate manner about the risks. Thank you for the partnership!
  • Covid Tests - The California Department of Public Health has provided RUSD with Covid-19 tests. Sites will be sending them home with your children next week. We hope these help you and your families with having a safe and joyous Thanksgiving break.
  • Upcoming Parent Ed Event - Navigating All This Tech in our Kids' Lives, as a Community! Wednesday, November 13, 6:15-7:30 PM. Registration required to get the webinar link

Best regards,

Dr. Kimberly McGrath
Superintendent

A big PTYay to our Reed PTA VP Communications, Dana McRay. This is Dana’s second year as Reed PTA VP Communications and we are so lucky to have her! Dana plays an important role in drafting communication for all Reed parents and caretakers through writing the Reed Room Parent email content in addition to the Reed Newsflash content. Thanks to generous parents like Dana and all our PTA volunteers, the RUSD PTA can continue its mission to enrich the lives of our children and the school community.
