Principal News

It's hard to believe that we are only midway through our first week, as students already demonstrate that they know the school routines. We hit the ground running with engaging academics and playing with new and old friends. The year is off to a fantastic start--Bel Aire is overflowing with positivity!

We held our first Monday Morning Meeting Assembly this week. It was an opportunity to celebrate birthdays, introduce staff, and review our school rules. Students were asked to recall a time when someone was kind to them and what that felt like. At school each day, we are going to treat others with kindness. Students also had time to think about what it looks and sounds like to be their "Bel Aire Best". We also review behavior expectations for having a safe and calm bus ride each day. We will accomplish our hopes and dreams together!

Thank you, parents, for helping to get your children to school on time and ready to learn. It takes a lot of effort--but it makes all the difference.

I am excited to welcome you to our Back to School Night tomorrow at 5:30. Please join our welcome promptly at 5:30 in the MPR before you are off to classrooms.

Meet Mr. Max Jent

Dear Bel Aire Families,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Max Jent, and I am excited to join the Bel Aire School staff as the new music teacher for the upcoming academic year.

I hold a B.A. in Music Performance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, and received my California Teachers Credential from Sonoma State College. Prior to joining Bel Aire Elementary, I had the pleasure of teaching music in the Moraga, Petaluma City, and Mill Valley School Districts. My training includes the Orff Schulwerk approach, which is designed to engage students through active music-making and creative expression.

At Bel Aire School, I will be teaching General Music for grades 3 through 5, leading the school band and teaching chorus. Additionally, I am thrilled to collaborate with the Reed United School District to offer expanded music opportunities for our students.

I am enthusiastic about becoming a part of the Bel Aire community and look forward to working with you. I am eager to contribute to a productive and enriching musical experience at Bel Aire School.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Best regards,

Max Jent

Bel Aire Students are a Community of Peacemakers (and fun havers)

First, welcome to the 2024-25 School Year. We hope you all enjoyed your summer and are excited for a fun and academically engaging year. Your PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is committed to making this the best year yet for our kids. We’re all about enriching their education, supporting and working in conjunction with our teachers, and building a strong school community.

Help Fund School Events
Join the Bel Aire PTA to support our school community.

At Bel Aire, your dues go directly into programs we are funding for this school year.  This includes fall fest, pre-ordered brand new spirit wear, the incredible school play, staff appreciation, field day, 5th grade promotion and the final week of school fun - ice cream truck, assembly, etc.  This past year the PTA commissioned a new mural on the way up the parking lot.  We intend to continue these fantastic, enriching programs at Bel Aire for the coming year.  Your $50 per student membership fee makes all this possible. (Joining PTA provides the financial support necessary and includes you in all the information about the meetings and projects in the works.) Please Join the PTA today.

Goal is 100% participation by the families at Bel Aire by Sept 15th so we can set our budget and plans for the coming school year.
