Happy Summer!

First Day of School

Thursday, August 24

Dear Reed Families & Caregivers,

With summer holiday only days away, may I extend my most sincere and heartfelt thank you to every member of our Reed Community for your individual and collective efforts toward making this year a success. I wish everyone a safe, fun, and restorative summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming our new and returning Reed Raccoons in the fall, and we wish our rising 3rd graders much success and happiness at Bel Aire or wherever next year may find you!

Warmly,

Mary Niesyn & Staff

Field Day Fun

A HUGE shout out  to Mr Kaiser and to the many parent and community volunteers for making Field Day such a success. It was a funfilled morning of games, activities and more! Students rotated through 17 different stations including Sponge Bucket Relay, Scooter Board Soccer, Foot Stompers, Corn Hole, and more. Be sure to ask your child all about this memorable day!

Second Grade Farewell

At the close of Field Day, our entire Reed School Community gathered to share a fond farewell to our AMAZING 2nd grade students. We could not be more proud of our 2nd graders and we know they will thrive in 3rd grade.

  • Events Team (3 volunteers) - Plan and execute Fall Fest (Oct), Winter Fest (Dec) and End of School fun.

In addition, there are additional volunteer opportunities for the Bel Aire PTA.  If you are interested in becoming more involved with next year’s 2023-2024 Bel Aire PTA, please contact incoming 2023-2025 Bel Aire PTA Site Chair Tracey Paull traceypaull@gmail.com

Dear PTA members,

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all. We had such a great year back to all of our amazing PTA sponsored activities. We served lunch to our kids, had fun school assemblies, Towntastic, the Fall Festival, book fairs, the Little Mermaid play, sporting meets and so many other activities enjoyed by students and their families.

We provided staff appreciation breakfasts and dinners, teacher appreciation week celebrations and hosted the Celebration of Education for our well deserved educators. We will finish up the year with fun celebrations and graduations at all three schools. None of these things would have been possible without all of your hard work and dedication.

As we close up the 2023 school year, I want to give one more big shout out to our outgoing Executive Board Members: Jennifer Feldman, Sheri Neuman, and Laura Smith. The whole RUSD community appreciates everything you have done for our schools these past two years.

Please welcome Jessica Etchevers, Garrett Harden, Elaine Moore, and Tracey Paull,  - we are so excited to have you join us. And a big thank you to Mickey Hubbell who will take over as RUSD District President!

We look forward to a Fantastic 23-24 school year ahead. Enjoy your well deserved summer breaks!

Best,

Jen Riley
