Dear Bel Aire Families,

Love for learning was in the air yesterday...and everyday, here at Bel Aire :) Thank you to all of the parents who helped out with classroom Valentine's fun. And thank you to the Bel Aire PTA for the thoughtful treats for staff!

No school next week, but I hope you and your families have a safe and fun week. Don't forget to read together!

Library Update from Mrs. Brigulio
Bel Aire is so glad to have Ms. Brigulio back in the library. Students are continuing to learn how to use the library. Last week Ms. Brigulio did a Kahoot review on library skills and the students were actively engaged and excited.

Now we have an online app called Sora where students can check out e-books. This will be explained to classes over the next few weeks.

We also read a great book about Lonnie Johnson, a famous black inventor, who  accidentally invented the Super Soaker. https://youtu.be/zL99Ky6fjas (book)
Interview with Lonnie https://youtu.be/_McpxHQvp_s
The kids loved it and it was a great lesson on perseverance.

If you'd like to volunteer in the library, Mrs. Briguilio can always use help re-shelving and organizing.
HERE is a sign up. A special thank you to the regular volunteers who kept things going in my absence. Toni and Justin you are amazing! Thank you!
