Dear Bel Aire Families,

Earlier this month, I hosted a walking tour of our Bel Aire school site with the Facilities Master Planning committee. We looked at all the areas around campus that make the school such a wonderful place to learn, and we looked at some things that present a fantastic opportunity for Bel Aire's future. Thank you to everyone, district-wide, who participated in the walk-through. I'll share updates and timelines as they become available.

Last night was RUSD Trustee A.J. Brady's final meeting as a board member. I wanted to acknowledge A.J.'s 9+ years of service to the RUSD community--thank you for all you have done for the district and Bel Aire.

While I am giving thanks, I want to express my gratitude to you, parents, for being such wonderful partners in your children's education. Thank you for everything you do at home so that kids come to school ready to learn. I'm very grateful to be a part of the Bel Aire community. I'm also thankful to work with such a caring group of teachers and supportive district colleagues. What a fantastic school community we have!

School Arrival and Departure Times

Students should not be on campus before 7:30 a.m. Students must leave campus immediately after school unless they are involved in a school activity. There is no supervision for students arriving earlier or leaving later during the school day. After arriving at school, students are not permitted to leave campus without first signing out in the office. Thanks for your help in keeping students safe.

Youth Truth Survey Now Open 💯

Reed Union School District has partnered with the national nonprofit, YouthTruth, to help us hear feedback from you about what we are doing well, and how we can improve.

YouthTruth Family survey will be open for a few more days and we want to hear from you!

PLEASE TAKE THIS 15 MINUTE ONLINE SURVEY HERE: ytsurvey.org/rusdfamily22

Your response is anonymous and will be combined with responses from other parents/guardians throughout the district. We ask that one member of each household fill out the survey. If you have more than one child who attends the school district, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child. Thank you for your feedback! It is a gift that helps us continually improve.

This year, Bel Aire PTA is partnering with Adopt A Family of Marin to support nine families (shared across Bel Aire's 3 grades) in our Marin community during the holidays from November 18 -December 9. The family’s gift wishlist and detailed instructions will be available in your Room Parent email later this week.

Please wrap the gifts and label each one with the first name of the parent or child. You may leave the ‘From’ portion of the label blank. Bring the wrapped present to your child's classroom between December 5th-9th.

We are thrilled to be able to offer every Bel Aire student the opportunity to participate in this year’s Bel Aire PTA Play, The Little Mermaid, Jr. The Bel Aire Play has been and continues to be directed by a professional theater director and choreographer and vocal/music directors, while it’s sponsored and produced by the Bel Aire PTA. This is a unique arts enrichment program for our students and is on par with top Bay Area children’s theater programs. A reminder that auditions are this week through November 17th and rehearsals begin November 29th. For questions, please review the Information Packet and/or email belaireplay@gmail.com

Recess Volunteeers: Another fun way to volunteer on campus is to volunteer to be an extra set of hands (and eyes) during lunch recess.  Shifts are available on most school days from 12:10-12:55 p.m.  Check in with Lora at the front office and please don’t forget your ID for our SchoolPass system.  If you'd like to help out, please sign up HERE.
