We welcome all parents to the MPR at 6:00pm for staff introductions. Classroom presentations begin at 6:30pm. Please be reminded that Back to School Night is a parent and caregiver event. Looking forward to seeing you all next Thursday!

Reed School Morning Carline Needs Your Support

Morning carline is a community effort. Whether you are able to volunteer or are dropping off your children, we are all contributing to the success and efficiency of carline. Please take a moment to review the procedures below. Thank you!

• Be certain that your Reed child's carseat is on the right-hand side of the car (closest to the curb). This enables the volunteers to safely help your child in/out of their seat while parents remain in the car.

• Please arrive early and have children ready to exit the car.

• Carline ends at 8:25am. This is to ensure that all students have supervision as they walk to class (instruction begins at 8:30am). If you arrive after the carline gate closes, please find street parking and walk together with your child to the front office.

Staff Parking Area

Please do not park in the designated staff parking lot adjacent to the carline. Staff members arrive at various times throughout the morning and we need to have spaces available. Thank you for your understanding.

PreK Bus Passes are available when your child turns 5 years old

A reminder that PreK students may not ride the school bus until they are 5 years old.  Please go to www.buschallenge.org website a week or so before your child’s 5th birthday to purchase a pass so you receive it in time. The Reed AM routes have space so there’s no worry about selling out at this time.  Passes will be prorated.  If you have questions, please contact the Program Manager at info@buschallenge.org

Attendance is Important

While we understand the temptation, please refrain from pulling your child early from school to jumpstart a weekend adventure. Early dismissals create disruptions to your child’s learning as well as the overall learning environment. Thank you for your understanding.

Get ready to join us at Reed Elementary on September 29 from 5:00 – 7:00pm for food, music, and fun alongside a cardboard town created by Reed Students! To participate in the event, children should create and decorate a "box" at home that will be brought to the event and become part of our Reed TOWNTASTIC town. The box can be turned into anything in our town: a building, bus, boat, park, etc. TOWNTASTIC  is a fun, family friendly community-building event and all families, caretakers, and siblings are welcome.  There will be food and beverages available for purchase. Please contact or Argavan Nilforoush (argavan@gmail.com) or Michelle Thomsen at (mmsmith8@yahoo.com) if you have any questions.  We look forward to seeing you there!
