Dear Reed Families and Caregivers,

A HUGE thank you goes out to our entire Reed School community—students, staff, parents, and caregivers for a great first week! Students are doing a fantastic job learning new routines, making friends, and participating in a wide array of activities. We are so proud of our Reed Raccoons!  Please be reminded that it is very normal for your child to feel exhausted by the end of the day during these first few weeks. Please consider limiting after school activities and providing a little extra quiet down time in the late afternoons or just before bed. This extra time will help your child decompress and restore from the busy school day.

Names & Faces at Reed School

Today, at our schoolwide Community Time assembly, we watched our “Names & Faces of Reed School'' slideshow. The message to our students was, “These are the adults who work together to keep us safe at school.” Be sure to ask your child all about it.

Morning Carline

Please take a moment to review the carline procedures below. Your support will greatly help make the morning carline run safely & efficiently. Thank you!

  • Carline begins at 8:00am and closes promptly at 8:25am. Gates must close by 8:25am to ensure that students have time to walk to class while we have morning supervision. If you arrive after the volunteers close the gate, please find a safe place to park and walk with your child to the front office.
  • Parents must remain in the car for drop off and pick up. Volunteers will assist your child getting in and/or out of the car.
  • Students must exit and enter the car on the curbside
  • Students need to be ready to exit the car (shoes on and backpacks/totes ready) when the volunteer opens the door.
  • If your child is having difficulty transitioning to school, please find a safe place to park and walk your child to the gate or office. A member of our staff will be ready to support you and your child.

Breakfast/Lunch Program

Please read this important message from our superintendent.

Lost & Found

As the afternoons grow warmer, jackets and sweaters tend to come off. Please take a moment to look through the Lost & Found rack for missing clothing. The rack is in the front circle before and after school each day. Please be sure to label all clothing.  Thank you!

This year we are looking for a volunteer to help with graphic design.  If you have experience and would like to get involved volunteering for the Foundation,
please email rsfoundation@reedschools.org.  Thank you!
